Since 1995, Carroll, a Dallas native, had served as the director of advertising and marketing for Feizy Rugs. During her tenure, she was instrumental in the creation of Feizy's Home Catalogue and in securing the company's four ARTS Awards wins, according to a company press release.
“Hands-on from the beginning to the end of each project, she was admired and respected by her peers and colleagues as a consummate professional,” the Feizy release said. “Her extensive product knowledge and professional drive made her an indispensable resource not only to the Feizy Rugs family, but also within the area rug industry.”
Survivors include her mother, husband, daughter, son and grandson, as well as a sister and two brothers.
According to the press release, “she was an inspirational leader to her Feizy Rugs staff members and colleagues with a vibrant, larger-than-life personality.”
The family has established a memorial fund at Wells Fargo Bank in honor of Carroll and her daughter, under the name Memorial in Celebration of Jeanne and Janice Carroll Fund. Proceeds will be distributed to children who are currently under protective custody or victims of domestic violence, and will be used to help the family cover expenses.
