Windchime producer Woodstock Chimes recently acquired Asli Arts, a manufacturer of hand-crafted bamboo products.
The company will debut Asli Arts by Woodstock Chimes, a new line of bamboo and capiz chimes featuring Asli Arts signature designs, at the 2009 winter markets. Products begin to ship this month.
Asli Arts was first founded by Ginny Rodin while living in Bali more than 30 years ago. Asli Arts by Woodstock Chimes features bamboo products hand-crafted from a sustainable harvest of bamboo. Production will continue in Bali and Vietnam.
The move comes at the same time that Woodstock is marking its 30th anniversary. “With Asli Arts by Woodstock Chimes debuting at the winter markets and our anniversary taking place at the same time, 2009 is looking to be a very exciting year for the company,” said Garry Kvistad, owner and CEO. “It has been an incredible 30 years, and hopefully the beginning of 30 more amazing years.”
