Gold & Company celebrates 25 years

PR, marketing firm founded in 1984

Gold & Company, a strategic marketing and public relations consulting firm, is marking 25 years of serving manufacturers in the home/garden accessories, fine gift, stationery, fashion accessories, tabletop, furniture, rugs, licensing and textiles industries.

Founded in 1984 by Debra Gold, Gold & Company specializes in creating strategic branding, continuity public relations programs, product distribution outlets, and other essential marketing services for manufacturers ranging from startups to industry leaders.

“For the past 25 years, it has been my passion and my privilege to work in these related industries, helping to represent creative, innovative manufacturers and the strikingly designed, useful and imaginative products they produce season after season,” Gold said. “With the many changes that the home/gift/stationery industries have experienced over the past two decades — including commoditization of many products, limited windows of advantage for innovators and the challenges of the current economic downturn — visibility in the marketplace and strategic yet assertive marketing campaigns to establish and maintain a strong brand awareness are now even more critical in determining whether a company can survive, thrive, gain market share, and become the leaders of the next economic cycle.”

In addition to her work with vendors, Debra Gold has also served as the media and buyer education program director for a number of national tradeshows and tradeshow management companies.
Gold & Company's long list of well-known clients includes: Zodax, The Gift Wrap Company, Art Dreams Home, Mrs. Grossman's Paper Company, Design Design, Toland Enterprises, Joan Baker Designs, Eastern Breeze Home Collections, Up With Paper, Lady Jayne Ltd., Mikwright, Gift Box Corporation of America, Susan Sargent Designs, Jeffrey Fisher Home, Santa Barbara Ceramic Designs, Alicia Klein Inc., Colors by Design, Brownlow, Viacom Consumer Products, and the Walt Disney Classics Collection.

In addition to her work with home/gift/stationery vendors, Debra Gold has also served as the media and buyer education program director for a number of national trade shows and trade show management companies including: The California Gift Show, The L.A. Mart, AMC Trade Shows (Americasmart), Merchandise Mart Properties Inc, (MMPI), and George Little Management. Gold currently serves as the strategic marketing consultant for the National Stationery Show, one of the world's largest markets for the social stationery industry.
