The winter edition of the Las Vegas Market kicks off on Monday, highlighted by more than 100 first-time exhibitors. Following is some more news and events for the upcoming show:YHFP hosting reception
The Young Home Furnishings Professionals will be hosting a networking reception at the Las Vegas Market, Monday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at The Phillips Collection showroom in World Market Center Building A, space 202, and prospective members are invited to attend.New showrooms
+ Interior lifestyle brand Blissliving Home and candle and home fragrance brand Chesapeake Bay Candle announce the opening of a showroom in the Las Vegas World Market Center, in C-676M. Blissliving Home is unveiling its new spring and summer collection this market, and Chesapeake Bay Candle will showcase the Signature collection.
+ Firefly Home Collection is celebrating the grand opening of its new showroom in Building B, suite 433. The space will showcase over a thousand new products, including decorative accessories, wall decor, outdoor planters and accent furniture.
+ Casa Fiora, maker of designer draperies and related softgoods, is showing at market for the first time. The company will exhibit its collections in the Jordan Spencer multi-line showroom located in Building C, suite 376.
+ Transitional and contemporary furniture and accessory source Four Hands has moved into a new showroom in Building A, suite 110. The new showroom is approximately 2,000 more square feet than the original one, which brings the total to just under 10,000-sq.-ft. The company said that the new space will give it a greater market presence and expanded floor space.
+ Casa Bonita home furnishings is moving its showroom location to Building B-0146. The new space will showcase the company’s introductions — more than 30 handcrafted furniture designs imported from South America. Market attendees are invited to a complimentary cocktail reception every day from 3 – 6 p.m.
WMC announces seminar series, receptions

World Market Center announced several seminar series to take place during next week’s market in Las Vegas: Business Survival Series -- practical strategies for business survival, growth and success; Design Series – interior designer-focused programming for the home and hospitality industries; Trend Series – trend forecasts for lighting, color and furnishings; Brave New World Environmental Leadership Series – topics pertaining to sustainability.
WMC also announced several receptions:
Sunday, Feb. 8, 12 p.m. -- Rep Appreciation Day BBQ Lunch, Grand Plaza. WMC gives a big thank you to its industry sales reps with a special barbeque lunch featuring all the classic fixings.
