In an intriguing combination, city chic marries foreign flavor with a punch of ethnic spice. Natural materials, artisan-inspired craftsmanship and streamlined silhouettes give rise to an exceedingly slick and stylish brand of exotic.
Chair Luxe suede plumps the high-back chair from Abbyson, outfitted with sleek curves and espresso oak legs ($1,000). Lamp A spiraling, molten medallion channels an ethnic vibe in Cabana Joe's Stylecraft design, finished with a Café Linen shade. Vase From CBK's Casa Cristina Collection, the simple stoneware vase feels refreshingly modern with an artsy reactive glaze and elegant form ($70). Wall Decor Made of mango wood, botanical motifs float across the optic Circle Leaf wall art from Asian Art Imports ($1,500). Rug Designed by Liora Manne for Trans-Ocean, the hand-tufted Spello rug expresses poetic grace through lines of scrolling script ($313, 5x8).

Wall Decor Bands of color cut an abstract swath across B. Williams' hand-painted Promenade, crafted in mixed media and acrylic ($1,195).

Tables Shawna Stoney lacquers eggshell over wood in an organically inclined, streamlined set of nesting tables ($799).

Bench Swirls of rattan mix with mahogany, enhancing the exotic yet urbane style of David Francis' Manhattan bench.

Planters Classical design meets future technology in Imax's Denet planters, where surface texture is created by applying partially-spun cotton fibers to metal and then sealed ($168, set of two).
