NOVA is reducing wholesale pricing on all items in its contemporary lighting and home décor line effective immediately.
"We have all been affected by the current economic situation and need to work together to get through these challenging times," CEO Daniel Edelist said. "With the recent reductions in commodity, fuel and labor costs in China and domestically, as well as the expanded capabilities of our new Mexico factory, we have been able to reduce our costs and we want to pass these savings on to our customers."
In September of 2008, California-based NOVA opened a new 20,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing operation near the Otay Mesa border in Mexico. The new factory has enabled the company to expand its product assortment and prototyping capabilities and streamline logistical, freight, labor issues and costs. From 1996-2001, NOVA manufactured in Tecate and Tijuana. In 2001, all production was moved to Taiwan and eventually mainland China.
