Beginning March 25, the Las Vegas Design Center, located within World Market Center Las Vegas, will be open to the public with the new Design Salon.
The Design Salon, with access to more than 50 showrooms, will offer complimentary consultations by interior design professionals to serve as a conduit between consumers and Las Vegas Design Center, according to a WMC press release.
Randy Wells, vice president of Las Vegas Design Center, said the Design Salon is the product of a partnership between Las Vegas Design Center and The American Society of Interior Designers’ California Central/Nevada chapter.
“Through the Design Salon, consumers have the opportunity to learn about the value and accessibility of exceptional design and purchase unique, often custom or configurable furnishings with the benefit of a consultation from an accredited ASID designer,” Wells said. “We have developed a new business model that creates value, not only for consumers, but for our showrooms and the design community as well.”
Design Salon services will run 50 weeks a year and will be available every week except during the bi-annual Las Vegas Market.
The Design Salon will also serve as the Nevada office of ASID and will be on the first floor of the Las Vegas Design Center.
Bobbie Jo Kinsey, president elect of the California Central/Nevada chapter of ASID and president of Kinsey Design Group, said the space will also serve as a gathering place, networking hub and educational resource for designers.
Whether it’s a singular purchase or an entire home interior, consumers will be able to work directly with ASID professionals who will assist, consult and help tailor the project to their specific needs. The designer makes the sale possible by acting as a conduit between the consumer and the Design Center showroom.
“All at prices more affordable than would be paid in a traditional retail store,” Kinsey said.
The Design Salon will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be staffed by ASID members.
