Permanent floral manufacturer Bougainvillea and wall decor vendor Big Fish will relocate their High Point showrooms to the International Home Furnishings Center’s Design Center for the April 2009 market.
“We have significantly added to the Big Fish product line,” said CEO Melissa Van Hise. “In addition to Big Fish, we will represent lines from Casey Collection, Evans Design and Encore Art and Frame. And with our theme of ‘Big Fish is easy; easy to buy and easy to sell’ it was important for us to have a more central location that’s convenient to buyers.
“We are terribly excited about the move,” she added. “Our showroom is at Boardwalk and Park Place (D-224) - the ideal place for us. And the IHFC has made the transition such a pleasant experience.”
Occupying showroom D-335 in the Design Center, Bougainvillea will show its high-end natural floral designs and candles line. Owner Jeff Chauvin said it was time, after showing in High Point in the same location since the company’s launch in 2001, for his Atlanta-based company to move to the IHFC. “The whole industry is going through change and it was our time to make the transition,” he said.
“In this economy, orders matter and the increased traffic we anticipate at the IHFC should support that. We believe our current customers will follow us there, and that we should pick up new ones because of the move. As a domestic manufacturer that can react quickly to customer requests, which is quite unique in our category, we need to tell our story to as many customers as possible.”
