-- Home Accents Today, 3/23/2009 8:43:00 AM

Gift and home accent vendor Caffco International has tapped Tim Matt to join its product development team. In this newly created position, Matt will head up the product development team of the U.S. division, creating product lines specifically for independent retailers.

“The addition of Tim to our talent pool of designers shows our commitment to really grow our independent business," said Lamar Thompson, Caffco’s president. "Caffco has big plans to bring innovative new designers to the market, as well as address the price/value/uniqueness needs of successful retailers. Tim will play a big role in this new initiative.”

Matt’s previous experience combines product development stints an executive and manager with a number of home decor and seasonal product vendors, including Transpac Imports, Clay Art, Pacific Rim and Three Jays, with retail experience as a visual merchandiser with Macy’s in Atlanta.

As a licensed designer himself, Matt said he looks forward to working with and developing new product lines with Caffco’s local team of licensed artists, as well bringing in new licensed artists to the Caffco fold.
