Payne Street and The Breece Collection will be showing original acrylic paintings by owner Jim Breece in its showrooms during the upcoming spring High Point Market.
In a company press release, Breece said that the style of the paintings are in the vein of abstract impressionism. The name abstract impressionism was coined by Elaine DeKooning to describe the 1950s movement led by Milton Resnick, Sam Francis and others.
Breece added that these paintings are not an intentional new look at that movement but could more accurately be called neo-abstract impressionism.
In all there will be 14 paintings on display through out the showrooms during the April 25-30 High Point Market. Payne Street is located at 330 N Hamilton Street, second floor.
