U.S. Senator Kay Hagan to speak at High Point Market

Opening day ceremony to kick off centennial celebration

U.S. Senator Kay Hagan will join High Point Market Authority president and CEO Brian D. Casey and High Point Mayor Rebecca R. Smothers for a Centennial Celebration press conference and opening ceremony honoring the High Point Market’s 100th anniversary.

The opening ceremony will take place at 9:45 a.m. on Sat., April 25, at the High Point Theatre, 200 East Commerce Ave., adjacent to the transportation terminal. This special event will kick off the Centennial Celebration, spotlighting the relevance of the High Point Market at its 100-year-mark. According to an HPMA press release, the High Point Market contributes $1.2 billion in economic impact to the State of North Carolina annually, benefitting thousands through international commerce, jobs and revenue.
