Currey & Co. pursuing contract and international business
New department headed by Brownlee Currey

Brownlee Currey is heading up a new department at Currey & Co. dedicated to serving the contract and hospitality trade, and international customers. Since assuming the position in January, 2009, Currey has been working to develop the wiring details, finishing costs and custom design work needed to serve this customer base.
The company has already completed contract installations in Palm Beach, Fla.; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Sea Island, Ga., and Mexico City, Mexico, ranging from customized table lamps to faux bois seating and custom chandeliers.
Currey, the son of company founder Robert B. Currey, said “I am revved up to increase our domestic and international sales. We are working on developing new relationships with contract customers and extending to them the same attitude of being easy to do business with as we have with our current retail customers. Internationally we are working to build partnerships with the right customers and I think our goods have great appeal in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.”
Currey & Co. plans to expand its presence at May's HD Expo in Las Vegas, will show at NeoCon in Chicago in June, and has joined ASID as a National Industry Partner.
