Celebrity interior designer Thom Filicia will introduce a comprehensive home collection this year. Designed by Filicia, the collection will initially feature furniture, textiles, lighting and area rugs, among other categories.

Safavieh will introduce the designer's first area rug collection at the High Point Market this month in its Market Square showroom, Suite 120. The collection is the first residential program of the Thom Filicia Home Collection and will include hand-woven, hand-tufted and machine-made rugs.

Other licensed collections still to come include furniture at Vanguard and lighting at Visual Comfort, both debuting in the fall, as well as a line of textiles with Kravet coming later this spring.

Filicia is largely known for five seasons as the design guru on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. He is currently starring in his own Style Network series Dress My Nest and is the recent recipient of Interior Design magazine's Merit Award for Outstanding Eco-Design as well as other industry honors.
