Attendees at Women in the Home Industries (WithIt)'s 2009 professional conference can sign up for individual “Curbside Mentoring” meetings with industry leaders, each offering guidance and advice specific to their experience and expertise.
“WithIt membership surveys indicate that mentoring is one of things women want most,” said Liz O’Brien, WithIt's president. “Our new program gives conferenceattendees a unique opportunity to access some of the powerhouse leaders in our industry.”
The 2009 conference entitled “Women Doing Business: Thought Leaders, Creative Innovators and Influencers” will be held August 11-13 at the Embassy Suites, Charlotte-Concord, N.C. For the inaugural Curbside Mentoring Program, conference attendees can sign up for 45-minute sessions, at a cost of $50 per session, with industry leaders on a variety of topics.
“The cost is a great value,” O’Brien said. “Thanks to our volunteer corps of leaders, all proceeds go towards the organization’s initiatives which support and help to develop female professionals who will be future influencers.”
