Williamsburg adds Winward International

Permanent botanicals join Williamsburg licensed products

-- Home Accents Today, 7/14/2009 9:38:00 AM

Williamsburg has formed a new licensing relationship with Winward International to create permanent botanicals and seasonal accents.

The new Williamsburg holiday collection by Winward will draw inspiration from the all-natural holiday decorations seen throughout Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area, and will include ornaments, stockings, table top decor, floral arrangements and more. The line will be introduced at the Atlanta Gift and Home Furnishings Market and the Dallas Total Home and Gift Market in January.

“Williamsburg is proud to welcome Winward International to our licensing program,” said Jim Easton, vice president of products for The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.  “Buyers will be thrilled with the breadth and depth of the Williamsburg Christmas line under development. With a reputation for design excellence and quality products, Winward is the partner we believe can capture the magic of Williamsburg during the holidays, as well as the essence of spring in our gardens.”

“The partnership between Colonial Williamsburg and Winward has been a close and natural fit form the very first meeting,” said Patrick Tai, founder and president of Winward International. “When people share the same passion for excellence, it seems to create a natural bond. We know in our hearts we are capable of bringing to the market something unique that offers timeless tradition.”
