Home Accent Today’s exclusive survey of the Top 50 Home Accent Retailers ranks the top U.S. retailers by their 2008 sales of home accents.Data is based on 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2008, unless otherwise noted. All sales figures, except those of publicly held companies that break out home accent sales as a separate line of business, are Home Accents Today market research estimates.
Estimates were derived from a variety of sources, including the companies themselves, public company filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, discussions with industry analysts and suppliers, as well as published and unpublished reports, including newspaper articles in various retailing areas.
Sales estimates are based on estimated 2008 sales of decorative accessories, including candles, baskets, garden accessories and picture frames, as well as portable lamps, accent furniture, collectibles, tabletop and tabletop accessories, wall décor, permanent botanicals, area rugs, decorative pillows, throws and luxury linens.
