Dallas Market Center and the Accessories Resource Team have announced that Don McEvoy will receive the Academy of Achievement Award at the 21st annual ARTS Awards.

The Academy of Achievement is awarded to an individual who has made significant contributions to the decorative accessories industry. The honor, along with awards for the more than 20 category winners, is presented at a gala event each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market (Jan. 13–19, 2010).

McEvoy began as a sales representative in 1964, quickly building a successful showroom in the Dallas Trade Mart. The McEvoy name, after more than four decades, has become synonymous with quality resources, excellent customer service, and industry leadership. Over the course of more than 250 markets and trade events, McEvoy has launched hundreds of new products, served tens of thousands of retail customers, and enjoyed the fierce loyalty of many long-term employees.

The ARTS Awards is the premier awards program for the home decorative accessories industry. This year's gala will take place on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, in The GrandPavilion at the Trade Mart. The 21st annual ARTS Awards are sponsored by Home Accents Today, Gifts and Decorative Accessories and other trade media outlets.
