The Tabletop product center at AmericasMart will now be known as Living and Entertaining: Gifts, Tabletop & Accessories to showcase a broader line of products that reflect the way modern consumers live and entertain.
Debuting at the January 2010 Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, the new name aligns with the product evolution of the Tabletop and Gift floors 8 and 9 in Building 2.
The new name sets the stage for the product center’s growth, supported by anchor showrooms and lines such as including Lazy Susan, Juliska, Michael Aram, Lunares, and Caspari.
With a casual-style influence and the need to offer a broader range of product, companies are now showing merchandise intended for everyday use and gift-giving. Living and Entertaining captures this progression and will become the next destination for all-occasion entertaining, spotlighting:
* More casual and everyday tabletop;
* Paper tableware to include napkins, paper plates and other paper accessories;
* Party invitations;
* Hostess and entertaining gifts;
* Candles and candle sticks;
* Artisan tableware and accessories;
* Trendy and classic tabletop designed for everyday use (dishwasher, microwave and oven safe).
Celebrity designer Kathryn M. Ireland will make an appearance during the January show on Friday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. in Building 2, showroom 9-939 to kick off the new concept. Ireland will provide personal insight on how to throw a party together at the last minute with resourceful tips and practical advice for the novice and the expert entertainer.
