Talking to Ikea, part 2: Location

Part of the genius of Ikea is that there aren’t that many of them. For most of us, shopping at Ikea is a day trip (when I lived in Norfolk, it was exactly three hours to the Potomac Mills Ikea outside D.C.) and an adventure we usually share with friends. I already have plans with two separate groups of friends for return trips to the new Charlotte store. My friends are that excited. And here’s a video shot opening day by my colleague Clint Engel that proves my point.
