Tomas Kral’s Designs Shed Light on Common Connections

April 13, 2009

Swiss designer Tomas Kral has not only thought about it, he designed Plug, a range of tabletop items exploring the connection between hard and soft, glass and cork.

What happens when you explore the relationship between a bottle and it’s cork? And who would even think up something like that? Swiss designer Tomas Kral has not only thought about it, he designed Plug, a range of lamps and tabletop items exploring the connection between hard and soft, glass and cork. The tactile nature of cork and the raw beauty of hand blown glass are an unexpected compliment making these pieces compelling even if they’re not your aesthetic cup of tea.
