The Stylish Renderings of Charles R. Ott

May 11, 2009

Pittsburgh illustrator Charles Ott and his rather stylish pen and ink technique reminds me of those pre-CAD days when architects and engineers relied on illustrators.
My friend Jill Healy, owner of High Style Interiors & Gifts in Charlotte, NC, turned me on to Pittsburgh illustrator Charles Ott and his rather stylish pen and ink technique. I like it because it reminds me of those pre-CAD days when architects and engineers relied on illustrators like Ott in order to sell their ideas. There is definitely a beautiful ‘lost art’ feel to his work which is all the more interesting when you realize it’s coming from a guy still in his thirties. You can
contact Ott here, and be sure to check out High Style Interiors’ cool design blog here

Check out these other outstanding artists: Peter Waltz,  Lesley Anton,  Saskia Diez
