Think Pink

May 15, 2009

I have to admit to being initially drawn to the new Flower chair solely because it’s pink, but on second reflection decided the design is pretty nifty as well.

Pink polarizes like few other colors, as in you really love it or you really hate it. Our esteemed editor in chief Jenny Heinzen York falls in the latter category; my efforts to lobby for a pink cover for our last issue were politely, but firmly shot down. (Click here for the results of our in-office color war).

Regardless of whether you adore or abhor pink, it makes a certain statement guaranteed to captivate the eye.

Designed by Pierre Paulin for Magis, the injection-moulded polycarbonate chair makes its US premiere at ICFF. Offered in clear, smoke gray or brown, Flower conceptualizes the organic form and sensual curves of its namesake with exquisite style.
