In Full Bloom

July 24, 2009

The new Amy Butler for Chandra rug collection immediately stands out for two reasons:  An exquisite use of color and  lavish profusion of botanicals. In addition, it's fresh, fun and feels very enchanted garden.

Butler, a fabric, print and fashion designer, romances nature with a modern edge by entwining floral and geometric motifs in bold style. Hand-tufted and handmade of 100% New Zealand wool, the collection features 13 initial designs including the fiery, passionate Caracas (above) and the vintage-influenced Coventry.

Love the blue one, but the first one is just too much. It looks cheap and "little girl" to me. Maybe it's the staging? I like Amy Butler's fabrics in general though, so I'm excited to see the full line!
