Retail Stories - Raymond Waites

June 12, 2008 The last time you shopped for home decor item(s) for your home, what did you buy? Where did you buy it? And what attracted you to that particular shop?

Raymond Waites: During a recent trip to Paris I visited my favorite Marché aux Pouces flea market and fell in love with a gold and coral handled flatware set that I had to add to my vast collection of antique flatware and serving pieces. I also picked up a small bee lapel pin covered in diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds and though it is not a home furnishings piece, it is a wonderful addition to my wardrobe. Another recent memorable shopping experience was in Helsinki when I was strolling along the Esplanade and came across the Arabia factory shop. I’ve had the opportunity to work with several of their famous designers, and purchased several of their wonderful glass birds and glass vases. These purchases are not only beautiful pieces for my home but beautiful and memorable experiences that I will carry with me forever.

Raymond:
Where could I find some of the plaid Summer Palace fabric? I would like to make a tablecloth to cover a round table in our bedroom. Also I would like to purchase the sheer material as was found on the beaded pillow. It has a brown vine with green leaves on it. I would appreciate it if you could help me. Email me at: hdbhouse@aol.com Thanks.

Thanks,
Donna

Raymond, I wish to thank you for the exquisite bedding set. I purchased the Summer Palace Comforter Set from Next Creations. I was able to purchase the curtain panels from them as well. I was able to finally purchase the window valance from E-bay. The Store was: Top Deals Online - seller: bigbiz5. I now have the complete set and our bedroom looks like a palace. Thanks Raymond and keep your designs coming.

Hello, Raymond Waites is my most favorite designer of all time. I seen a cannister set in Touch of Class. I've been looking for the dishes to go with them. Are they discontinued or what. I love all things tropical. This set I believe is Tropical Amazon. Where can I purchase the dinnerware set? He inspires me so.
Thanks,
Y
