Fruit Branch Room Divider
In response to my post
Fresh at Freshome Wally Stryk commented:
Hello Mike, I appreciate seeing decor that's out of the box. I'm afraid that my company, Asian Art Imports, deals in more conventional décor, but take a look at http://www.asianartimports.com/. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Wally Stryk
Wally, thanks for your comment. I took a look and was struck by how “green” your company is. In fact, readers, Wally Stryk is a founding member of the
Sustainable Furniture Council.
Natural Teak Table
From Asian Art Imports website:
Some pieces like our fruit branch room divider, are made from branches that are trimmed yearly and normally burnt. The Western or wagon wheel furniture uses old wheels, recycled farm tools and fence posts.

Back in October, I reported on the
Color Pulse: Trends and Colors for 2009, as presented by Color Director Doty Horn of
Benjamin Moore. The overall theme for 2009 was called Simplicity and had four distinct translations: Urban Silence, Simplexity, Private Identity and Raw
Raw defined, in part, is the use of untreated wood, cinder blocks, and basic fibers. Raw also reflects the green movement, where things are reused and recycled. It's authentic, honest, pared down. Wally Stryk and Asian Art Imports is “one” with the times.
