Removable Graphics

January 17, 2008

Winter here in Portland, is usually not harsh like the mid-west or the east, but it can be endlessly gray and wet.  The Eskimos, I’m told, have many, many words for snow.  We have many, many words for rain.  A few are: rain, showers, intermittent rain, misty, drizzle, fine mist, downpour, cloudburst, thunderstorm, sprinkles, etc.  There’s also the saying, “If you can’t see Mt. Hood it’s raining.  If you can see Mt. Hood, just wait a moment and it will be raining.”

As you might expect, it is possible, here,  to get a little stir crazy if you are cooped up in your home for very long.  That’s why I was intrigued by this new item:  Removable Graphics.  You can “create unique wall decor in less than an hour -- keep them up for a day or a year, or until you change your mind, then simply peel off to change the look of your room.”

One Up Wall Graphics are made out of a thin, self-adhesive vinyl film that looks painted on once applied.

I love the ant graphics.

I wonder how I would react if they were spiders crawling in graphic form instead.
