New York, NY - The award-winning textiles of Seattle-based O Ecotextiles have been selected as one of several premier lines to join the expanded Edward Ferrell showroom this April at New York's D&D Building. O Ecotextiles CEO Patty Grossman will speak at the showroom launch April 1st and 2nd, at 979 Third Avenue, Suite 915.  "Since the introduction of our sustainable Pure Collection, we have seen increasing requests for sustainable fabrics to go on our sustainable upholstery, said Steve Mittman, owner of Edward Ferrell. “O Ecotextiles fills this increasingly important niche perfectly. They truly embody the term eco-luxury, and we are thrilled to partner with this very special company." O Ecotextiles products are made from bamboo, hemp, abaca, ramie, linen and silk. The production process incorporates eco-friendly methods, including the final softening of the fabrics which is done with aloe vera, beeswax and vitamin E. The company earned a Decorex award in 2007 for its line with UK designer Emily Todhunter. Edward Ferrell, a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, recently introduced the Pure: Sustainable Luxury Collection, his company's first eco-friendly furniture collection. For more info, contact Amanda Mittman at amittman@ef-lm.com
