Tennille & Co. celebrates, Southern style
December 20, 2007
Cassandra Tennille opened her first retail store, The Plantation Shop, in Atlanta’s Buck
head shopping district fifteen years ago. Since then the shop, a mix of antiques, gifts and home accessories
has expanded to several locations, adding a nationwide catalog sales division and a homeshow sales network along the way. Tennille (shown in photo at right between party guests Hollis Erickson and Jena Young) recently rebranded the business as “Tennille & Co.” and celebrated with a party at the Atlanta store on Roswell Road Dec. 16. Veranda Magazine co-hosted
the event, which was attended by more than 400 guests who
enjoyed music, dancing and Southern culinary treats. On Nov. 14 Charlotte Living Magazine, for whom Tennille pens a monthly style and design column, co-hosted a “Southern Nights” holiday celebration, complete with a full service Grits Bar, at the Charlotte, N.C. store in Myers Park. Tennille is with Lisa Newsom, Veranda's editor in chief, in photo at left.
