Retail intros - Shaw, ABC Carpet & Home, Martha Stewart at Macy's, Kmart
September 19, 2007

Atlanta  – Shaw has published A Woman’s Guide to Flooring under the Tips, Trends & Care section of ShawFloors.com to help consumers select the carpet, area rug or hard surface floor that best meets their interior design and lifestyle needs. Shaw created the guide to educate women about the floor shopping experience because flooring is an infrequent purchase and many consumers are unfamiliar with the selection process. The Web site also features Shaw’s room visualization tool, Try On A FloorSM, which allows consumers to upload an image of their own room and replace the room’s existing floor with one from Shaw.

New York, N.Y. -
ABC Carpet and Home has introduced the Gianna Cowhide Rug Collection, a combination of traditional hand-made quality and cutting-edge design in sophisticated modern masterpieces. The rugs, handcrafted in India, feature mosaics of Brazilian cowhide in geometric designs inspired by current trends around the world. Master artisans embraced texture and detail in experimental form to create imaginative motifs composed of meticulously hand cut 1’x1’ cowhide squares. Available in custom colors and sizes exclusively at ABC Carpet and Home.

Macy's announced on Sept. 10 the official launch of its "Martha Stewart Collection," at all of Macy's full-line department stores across the country. To celebrate the launch, Stewart surprised the studio audience at the season premiere of  The Martha Stewart Show with a shopping spree at Macy's Herald Square in New York City. Representing the largest brand rollout in Macy's history, the collection encompasses a broad range of home goods including bed and bath textiles, housewares, casual dinnerware, flatware, glassware, cookware, holiday decorating and trim items. The line also offers products such as holiday-specific food preparation pieces like cookie cutters, cake stencils and decorating kits that expand Macy's into new categories. "The Martha Stewart Collection at Macy's is the realization of her distinct editorial voice--the ideas you've come to expect from her, translated to a lifestyle story on our selling floor," said Tim Adams, chairman and CEO of Macy's Home Store.

Hoffman Estates, Ill. -- Kmart is formally launching a revamped Martha Stewart Everyday home furnishings line next week, offering higher quality bed and bath linens at lower prices. The retailer also introduces its proprietary line of Abbey Hill home goods this month. Kmart is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sears Holdings Corp.
