Brooke Shields featured in campaign for Royal Velvet at Bed, Bath & Beyond

May 7, 2008

Brooke Shields and her family will star in the print and online marketing campaign for Iconix Brand Group’s Royal Velvet home brand, to debut next month (June, 2008) in shelter, lifestyle and bridal magazines. The campaign will coincide with the launch of Royal Velvet at Bed, Bath & Beyond. The campaign, themed "Royal Moments" will feature ads with Shields, her husband Chris Henchy and daughters Rowan and Grier.  The campaign was shot at a private estate in Beverly Hills by celebrity photographer Tony Duran.

The new collection offers 24 colors of towels, all of which are available at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Dari Marder, Iconix Brand’s chief marketing officer, said, “Brooke is an iconic modern woman. She is a wonderful and loving mother, wife and a successful actress and author and she manages to make it all look so easy. We feel that the Royal Velvet customers will relate to Brooke and her family along with the intimate images in the campaign.”

This is the first endorsement deal for the family. “At this point in my career, I only do projects that I believe in. Royal Velvet made sense for me and my family because it felt authentic and it is a classic brand with amazing products,” Shields said.

After reading this article where this dude John Rinaldi speaks of a closeness to Brooke Shield and her family, I find it very disturbing. Where does this loser get off making such comments? A stalker who studies the woman's life, and thinks he can get a claim to fame? Weirdo! I wonder how many times Brooke has had him arrested.

In response to Mr. John Rinaldi's comments about Brooke Shields and her family: John: Who are you to "punch Chris in the arm" and ask him to take care of Brooke, his own wife!? You pretend to know her, when actually you are her worst nightmare, as well as her long-time stalker. You are CRAZY if you think Brooke would allow you anywhere near her family. You are such a creepy, pathetic loser, desperate for any type of publicity. The state of New York is better off and New Yorkers are safer here without you. I, personally, would like to punch you - but not playfully!!

John M. Rinaldi commented:

The Henche's, Chris and Brooke, are a beautiful example of a family who's prime interests are indeed their children. I, personally playfully punched Chris in the arm and ask that he take good care of Brooke for me. He assured me he would. Later that evening Brooke told- the rest of the world, that she was pregnant with Grier. Well done Royal Velvet... and future sponsors take notice... Brooke has been famous her entire life, from 11 months on, to become the exception to fame and celebrity. Well done Mrs. Shield, and well done Brooke. The dynamic duo.
