New store named March Retailer of the Month

March 4, 2009

The Inside Out shop in Gilman, Illinois, hasn’t opened yet but it’s already being honored as March Retailer of the Month by The Chicago Market: Living and Giving. Beth Campbell and Paula Warmbir recently sold The Gathering, a primitive country they’ve owned for eight years, to open a more contemporary home and garden shop. The result is Inside Out, which opens March 21st. (photo right - Campbell and Warmbir with new signage from Language Art)

The owners say the goal of the new store is to provide a different look, and to meet customer desires with value product. To that end, they’ve been busy bringing in product such as bright cheery linens, unique potted floral, value-priced mirrors and jewel-tone fashion purses. Customers will be encouraged to bring in their home decorating questions and the store will feature events such as a Christmas decoration program that teaches the value of quality decorations. “A wreath at Inside Out may cost $80 but it will be use for years creating a Christmas tradition that a $15 wreath from Wal-Mart can’t compare to," Warmbir explained.
