RIBA Announces 2009 Stirling Prize Shortlist

July 24, 2009

Fuglsang Kunstmuseum, Denmark by Tony Fretton Architects has been shortlisted for the 2009 Stirling Prize to be awarded by the Royal Insitute of British Architects. Photo by Helene Binet.
The shortlist for the 2009 Stirling Prize was announced this week by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The prize is for buildings designed in Britain — not necessarily built there. The six finalists are:
Fuglsang Kunstmuseum, Denmark by Tony Fretton Architects;
Maggie’s Centre, London by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners;
Bodegas Protos, Spain by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners;
Liverpoool One Masterplan, Liverpool by BDP;
5 Aldermanbury Square, London by Eric Parry Architects;
Kentish Town Health Centre, London by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

The Stirling Prize will be announced in October, but since I’m kinda impatient I’ve already made my choice.
