NO REPRODUCTIONS HERE

August 27, 2008

This past Saturday I visited the Nasher Museum on the campus of Duke U to check out a new show called “El Greco to Velazquez, Art during the reign of Philip III.” I’ve never been a big fan of old oil paintings, but because I live in High Point, I tend to jump at the chance to see art of this magnitude when it’s within driving distance. It would be shame not to. The show continues through November 9, so if you can, check it out when you’re here for the HP market.

The museum building itself is worth the drive. The Nasher, designed by Rafael Viñoly, is bright and completely comprehensible – a little jewel among the strip malls.

¡Adios!
