In Full Bloom

July 24, 2009

The new Amy Butler for Chandra rug collection immediately stands out for two reasons:  An exquisite use of color and  lavish profusion of botanicals. In addition, it’s fresh, fun and feels very enchanted garden.

Butler, a fabric, print and fashion designer, romances nature with a modern edge by entwining floral and geometric motifs in bold style. Hand-tufted and handmade of 100% New Zealand wool, the collection features 13 initial designs including the fiery, passionate Caracas (above) and the vintage-influenced Coventry.

Okay, well that confused me. I haven't read the book or seen the movie, so I wuodln't know, but in another trailer I saw Hugo hang off of a clock. That clock looked quite close to Big Ben's size and shape. Also, as you pointed out, they had British accents. But I believe you. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is so confusing!

That red head is really good kiloong. Your magazine is just awesome.Chinese loves red. You see red packets inserted with money given to all the children during such Chinese New Year. All the decorations are in red too including the fire crackers. Red flowers are popular with the Chinese. Red is the right color to wear during festive seasons and celebrations. I tend to break the rule and wore black for my wedding dinner. Red has an auspicious connotation.

Love the blue one, but the first one is just too much. It looks cheap and "little girl" to me. Maybe it's the staging? I like Amy Butler's fabrics in general though, so I'm excited to see the full line!
