Lighting Designer Pablo Pardo Receives the 2009 ICFF Editors Award for Lighting

May 21, 2009

Designer Pablo Pardo formed the San Francisco-based Pablo in 1993, and has since gained international recognition for the innovation and beautiful simplicity of his lighting and home furnishings.

Refined design solutions are at the heart of this year’s winner of the ICFF Editors Award for Lighting. Above, the Bel Occhio lamp can be either spot light or ambient table lamp by simply rotating the acrylic sphere on it’s base. The Lighthouse lamp projects light into a diffusion lens creating a dramatic, theatrical display. Lighthouse can also be fitted with option fabric diffuser for a more subtle effect. This is a truly beautiful piece and has been one of my fave lamps for a long time.
