Taken from the Latin ‘gravidus,' the new and aptly named Gravid? Collection from Benjamin Caldwell is heavy by design. Fabricated of bent steel with a high gloss automotive-type finish, each of these weighty pieces cleverly, if not necessarily, rests on industrial strength conveyer rollers. Pictured above is the Gravid? Dining Chair (250lbs.), Dining Table (800lbs.), and Lounge Chair (300lbs.). The Lounge Chair is upholstered in cushions by Taiwanese designer Pan Anong Sittsomjin.
