Brooke Ziccardi, co-founder of Ziccardi Designs, is equally at ease at a project meeting in New Delhi, India, as in Newport Beach, California. Specializing in high-end luxury projects throughout the world, Ziccardi Designs has become a leader in the international interior design development business, focusing on custom projects that include residential, hospitality, commercial and planned community model home developments. Clients include royalty, entertainment figures, entrepreneurs, hoteliers and international families with projects in the U.S. and abroad. An Allied Member of ASID, Ziccardi has a business degree from the University of Southern California, Universal Design certificate degrees from both Harvard and USC, and holds a B1 contractor’s license. She serves as an academic and professional board member of several Southern California interior design colleges.

John McCain. Traditional in values, he exhibits a forward-thinking global mindset, so I think he would be open to adding modern global elements within his home -- traditional interiors spiced up with modern elements from around the world. Furnishings would be a mix of contemporary and traditional art and sculpture. Original pieces of furniture from Lincoln’s and Roosevelt’s days in office would be a great backdrop. I'd showcase Cindy's love of helping those less fortunate throughout the world with artifacts from her travels. I see cool grey hues, from shades of charcoal grey to dull pewter, as the emerging color for ‘08. Mirrored silvers, polished golds and vibrant coppers will also be strongly represented and continue with a trickle-down effect over the next two years. A related trend is jewelry on furniture, such as placing a metal cabochon at the top of a pleat or a crystal or pearl button on upholstered pieces, to create a one-of-a-kind signature look. Overriding everything, though, is the movement to bringing unique elements from around the globe into the home, to create a distinctive and personal retreat.
