We’re Out of SprayMount!

September 18, 2008

I thought about the lack of physical evidence of my toil the other day when I asked about buying the old oak flat files from the production department. In this day what could they possibly use those drawers for – this office hasn’t seen negs and progs for 5 years now. Just as Khoi Vinh relates in the article below, sometimes I miss all the cool tools of the trade a graphic designer used (I know rubber cement thinner is deadly but it still smells like love.) In the day, I always grew fond of a specific Exacto or pica ruler and you better keep your hands off! I still have a lot of that stuff at home, tucked away in a dusty tackle box, waiting for the day the power goes out for good.
