    Home furnishings and jewelry specialty chain Fortunoff filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection U.S. Bankruptcy Court Southern District of New York in Manhattan Monday, and the parent company of retailer Lord & Taylor said it agreed to acquire the troubled retailer. more » » »

    The owners of Mystic Valley Traders, Adam and Kyle Tager, have acquired Whitefield, N.H.-based Brown Street Furniture through a purchase of the majority ownership of Elwin Wright, one of Brown Street’s original owners.
