  • From Furniture Today: Pier 1 plans to take Cost Plus bid directly to shareholders
    Pier 1 Imports said late Monday that it will take its buyout bid for retailer Cost Plus to that company’s shareholders. Earlier in the day, the Cost Plus board rejected the offer, which amounted to 0.6 of a Pier 1 share for each share in Cost Plus, a deal valued at about $88.4 million or $4 per Cost Plus share. more » » »
