Kinder Harris of Stuttgart, Ark., sustained damages to the corporate offices and manufacturing facilities when a category F3 tornado ripped through the area on May 10, but the company has relocated its offices and are getting back to business. No employees were injured in the storm.
“Our relocated offices are up and running now while building repairs are nearing completion,” said Kris Lindsey, president. “We are accepting orders for early August delivery.
“A great deal of our imagery is produced by hand which means we can keep our artist working ahead of the production facility repairs and our target shipping schedule” Lindsey said. Keeping production locally based allows Kinder-Harris to respond quickly to interior design professionals who place approximately 75% of the products sold by the company, she said.
“There is a lot of talk these days about work environments that promote a ‘family’ culture,” Lindsey said. “At Kinder Harris, we don’t pay it lip service, we live it. I have been amazed at the number of customers, suppliers, media and industry friends that have called just to say, “Are you guys OK?” None of our employees were injured and none lost their homes, so we are ‘OK’ and we truly appreciate those of you who asked. “
