IHFC adding temporaries to 3rd floor
The International Home Furnishings Center in High Point is adapting the building's third floor for temporary exhibitors of decorative accessories and home accents. Pavilions on 3 will include room for up to 40 new exhibitors in spaces that will range from 300 to 1,500 square feet. The renovated floor is scheduled to open for the Spring High Point Market in April 2008.

High Point reports drop in attendance
The High Point Market Authority issued almost 84,000 badges for its market in October, a drop of about 1% from fall 2006, the group said last month. The 83,974 registrations included 47,441 for buyers and 29,115 for exhibitors and sales reps. Last fall, registrations totaled 84,976. Other figures, however, were more positive.

New terms for ART leaders begin
Newly elected officers and board of directors members for the Accessories Resource Team, the decorative accessory industry association, began their two-year terms on Nov.1. ART board members are required to attend three of four regularly scheduled board meetings per year and govern the operation of the association.

Dates for the winter 2008 edition of the New York International Gift Fair have been moved to match venue availability in New York City, show organizers announced.
