This exclusive consumer data originates from the responses of 1,135 households to a survey conducted in August and September 2005. Home Accents Today asked sales reps to give their views in a faxed and e-mailed survey conducted March through May. In addition to the invitation posted in HAT s e-weekly, sales organizations One Coast, United Sales Association, United Association of Manufacturers Reps and several home accent companies distributed the survey to sales forces that sell their products. This survey reports reps'
impressions of the state of the home accent industry and includes their projections of sales in thirteen product categories as well as reporting on their views of various issues pertaining to the business.

This exclusive consumer data originates from the responses of 31,505 households to a survey conducted in December 2002 and January 2003. From the March 2005 issue of Home Accents TodayOwning nearly one-fifth of the home accent universe, discount department stores and off-price retailers pulled in an estimated $12.1 billion in 2004 retail sales. The channel is second only to home accent/gift stores in terms of total home accent sales. From the April 2005 Issue of Home Accents TodayAs reported in Home Accents Today's 2004 Universe Study, lifestyle stores garnered $7.4 billion in retail sales last year, accounting for 11% of the home accent universe. The channel is projected to grow 5% this year, to reach $7.8 billion.
