Safavieh introduces furniture line via the Web

Safavieh has added a completely new section to its Web site www.Safavieh.com that displays the company’s newly launched furniture collection.

“The furniture category has been added to the existing Safavieh Web site and without any fanfare we are receiving calls from rug customers across the country that had been unaware of our expansion into this business,” said Richard Miller, director of sales for the wholesale furniture division,

On the Web, Safavieh’s furniture segment is further divided into five broad categories that correspond to its product collections: American Home, Hudson Leather, Kent Leather, Manhattan Slipcover Upholstery and Regency Home.

The American Home collection includes seating, desks, accent and case pieces that run from Classic to Transitional to Country French in design inspiration.  The Hudson Leather grouping includes sectionals, sofas and a full range of seating as well as home accents from framed mirrors to tray tables and a leather-upholstered sleigh bed.

Safavieh’s Kent Leather line offers English styling in a group of chairs and sofas, plus a Mission-styled chair with oak wood accents. A more formal Regency Home collection features traditional English and French classics ranging from dining chairs to credenzas, desks and tables and elaborately carved mirrors and chairs. The final program in the furniture division is the Manhattan Slipcover Upholstery collection which includes a range of chairs, sofas and sectionals that will be offered with replacement covers.

New Web site educates rug shoppers

In an effort to help consumers make sense of the confusing rug market, www.RugView.com has just published over 100 informative articles on how to choose and decorate with rugs. Highlights include an overview of popular brands, how to choose a rug based on intended use, what types of materials to look for, why a buyer should educate themselves before buying a rug, and where it can be purchased.

For those new to the rug market, the site contains extensive information on the various types of rugs available in today's marketplace. For those looking to decorate with rugs, there are several articles discussing how to select the proper size and style of rug.

In addition to the rug buying guidance, a comprehensive product directory has also been developed and is now online. This directory is a valuable shopping tool that contains a database of over 25,000 products from dozens of online merchants in a well organized format that allows visitors to quickly search for virtually any type of rug for any application. All types of rugs are included in the database -- everything from outdoor rugs and odd shaped rugs to whimsical children's rugs and investment-quality wool rugs.

Pfeifer Studio launches blog with free interior design advice

Pfeifer Studio has launched a new design blog offering advice to retail buyers on a range of interior options that before required hiring an expensive interior design consultant. For those lucky enough to own an original piece from Pfeifer, the design studio’s new photo sharing group will provide the perfect opportunity to show off it.

“Our new blog is set to become the online destination for free professional interior design advice. It takes the guesswork out of selecting a new piece of furniture or coordinating multiple interior elements into one space. Our photo-sharing group provides an excellent opportunity for our clients to show of their Pfeifer purchases. We are constantly impressed with our client’s beautiful interiors. Sharing inspiring spaces with others can only lead to more great ideas,” said AJ DeForest, founder and design director of the new e-commerce Web site, pfeiferstudio.com.

Not everyone can live in a flawless modern interior, but a few suggestions from Pfeifer’s design consultants can take any space from average to outstanding. Buyers at the beginning of a design project can make sure that they get started on the right foot, and those working on the finishing touches can be certain that they are making the best choices to take their space to the next level. Each week the studio will choose their favorite questions to be featured on the blog, Pfeifer Q & A, available through blogger.com, the internet’s most popular online blogging destination.

The personalized advice will reflect Pfeifer’s own design philosophy; Homes should be personal and functional, even if it comes at the expense of design perfection.
