 Furniture|Today's coverage of the bedding industry during the April High Point market period addressed several key issues facing the industry. Top 25 Bedding Retailers


From the August 1, 2005 print issue of Furniture/Today

 Rankings are based on sales for the previous year. This exclusive survey ranks the Top 25 bedding retailers conventional mattresses and boxsprings as well as foam bedding, futons, air beds, adjustable beds and waterbeds. Estimated figures do not include sales of headboards, frames, mattress pads, pillows and other related products.

All sales figures, except those of publicly held companies that break out bedding sales as a separate line of business, are Furniture/Today market research estimates.

In addition to sales estimates, the Top bedding retailers report includes store counts at the end of the year and a brief description of stores’ operations.

Top Bedding Producers

 Rankings are based on bedding shipments in the prior year. The 2005 report ranks 15 companies; prior years rank 12.

All shipment figures are Furniture/Today estimates, unless these figures are reported specifically or to Furniture/Today from a verified accountant’s statement.

The report gives the market share of the major producers and also provides sales estimates by brand.
