Here’s what we learned at Las Vegas Market – Day 1

LAS VEGAS – The amount of foot traffic here at Las Vegas Market compared to last summer was still under debate on the first day of market, but there was plenty of new product and industry happenings to whet attendee appetites.
This is what we found out:
Pastels, checkboard patterns, mixed materials and textured finishes are in play. Darker woods, like espresso; black colorways and, on the other end of the spectrum, light woods and bleached finishes are emerging, vendors said … Hooker Furnishings launched its M brand on the West Coast, geared to the lifestyles of younger consumers … The Howard Elliott Company is bringing in more abstract mirrors that have a floating effect and is showcasing the capabilities of its Mexican factory … The Phillips Collection has several unique pieces using the aforementioned bleached wood, as well as the addition of black colorways to several of its lines … Nourison Home has new additions to its Silk Shadows rug line and new styles in its Christopher Guy assortment … Nora Fleming, which introduced a melamine chip ‘n dip platter this spring, now has a scalloped silicone ring in a range of colors that slips over the edge of the platter for added pizzazz … Dalyn Rug Company introduced Vienna, a line of machine-woven polyester rugs with a super soft hand in more than a dozen styles … Pacific Coast Lighting has lowered prices on more than 50 SKUs at this market, passing on its recent cost savings post-COVID to its retail customers …
Sagebrook Home has enhanced its candle assortment with two new lines, is prepping a new upholstery line for the higher end of the market that will launch in High Point in October, and will be moving to a larger showroom in High Point in time for that market in October.
